Effective September 1, 2026. This policy describes the current private-preview behavior of the Washington Insider blog and must be reviewed when new services are connected.
Information you provide
The newsletter preview accepts an email address and stores it only in your current browser. It is not transmitted to Washington Insider or added to a mailing list.
Technical information
The hosting provider may process routine request logs, device information, and security events to operate and protect the site. Washington Insider has not added advertising or a separate analytics service.
Browser storage
The site uses local browser storage to remember whether the subscription preview has appeared and, if submitted, the email entered on that device. You can remove these values through your browser settings.
Future services
This policy will be updated before a real newsletter, analytics, advertising, comments, or other data-collecting services are enabled. A production newsletter will include consent and unsubscribe controls.
